Alters and Talents

I felt it necessary to do a blog post talking about the different talents of my alters, just to show how different we really are. People with DID are usually very creative and we are no exception. I write poetry-so do Ahina and Jax, however our styles are very different. Below are examples of each of our poetry.

Amelia(me):
So what
I mean come on who cares
Not me because I know life's not fair
They say be happy like its so easy
Just the thought it makes me queasy
Shootings ,abuse, hate crimes and war
And they say humanity's come so far
Society is ugly and we all know it
We all have hate in our hearts we just don't show it

Jax:
When hope feels lost and the world seems dark
I will be here for you
When the shadows are surrounding us
I will be here for you
When your feeling weak and feeling down
I will be here for you
In return I ask
That you be here for me
When every one thinks I've gone crazy
Will you be here for me?
When I and down and I'm under attack
Will you be here for me?
When my whole world Is caving in
Will you be here for me?
I hope with all my heart you will

Ahina:
I know right now your feeling broken
I know right now the point seems lost
I know right now your life seems like it's it will never get better
But I'm telling you right now your wrong
Because I know your life ain't over
You can come back from this

I know now it feels hopeless
But keep your head up high
Because someday you will fly

You catch them staring at you
In this town news sure gets around
They hear the stories but just remember that you know the truth

The talent is also very spread apart between us; Aliya is an amazing singer, Jax is an artist and Scarlet is quite the drummer. We love seeing the looks on peoples faces when they hear Aliya sing. My own mother had this look of aw when she heard Aliya sing for the first time, knowing I am not a good singer at all. We also all have things we are good and bad at. When it comes to math Scarlet is ten times better then anyone else and Jax is great at comprehending reading.

Introduction of the system

Hey everyone! First of all I would like to thank you for reading my blog and choosing to educate yourself on Dissociative Identity Disorder(DID) and I hope you not only learn from this blog but enjoy it as well. I am Amelia, the host and I'm 16 years old. I am one of 11 in our system. We range in age from 5 to 24 years old and we are very diverse in every way. I'm going to give a brief introduction of each of my alters and hopefully as they become more comfortable with the fact we have gone public(at least to strangers on the internet) they will post things themselves.

Amelia-16(host)
Ages normally
I would first like to introduce myself, so I'm Amelia. I am a sophomore in high-school and I was officially diagnosed with DID about 6 months ago however I knew something was going on long before that. Honestly, when I was younger I thought I had ghosts living in my head and I know that sounds crazy but that was the best explanation my younger self could come up with. Anyways, I am a very creative person and take that creativity out by writing and photography. I love music and reading. My family(especially my parents) have been very supportive of us and that really means a lot to me. I also have the best friends I could ever ask for and they are very supportive of my alters and me. My friends are so caring and understanding, I can never repay them and I love them so much for everything they do.

Snake-5
Does not age
Snake is the youngest in our system and can put a smile on my face even on my worse days. He maintains his childlike innocence and he has not been put through any pain or trauma. Snake sucks his thumb and K always teases him about that. He loves dragons and dinosaurs.

K-6-10
Slides age between 6-10
K is an age slider which means she changes age and can be 6 one day and 10 the next. She usually is 6. K is a sweet, funny bundle of energy. She loves puppies and fairies. K always seems to know how to get her way. She also has a major sweet tooth and loves candy.

Aliya-7
Doesn't age
Aliya is a very shy girl and rarely comes out. She holds my trauma memories and is very scared of people. Aliya is an amazing singer and when she does come out and sing people are amazed. Aliya loves mermaids and all sea animals.

Akira-13
Doesn't ageAkira is the only one in our system that is of a different race, she is African American.she is very sassy and likes to lead. Akira does research that needs to be done. She is also very smart and can think fas.

Blossom-14
Doesn't age
Blossom is very sweet and shy. She is very quiet and has a kind heart. Blossom loves dressing up and does it on a regular basis and her favorite color is pink. She loves kids and animals. Blossom is also very sensitive and can easily have her feelings hurt.

Ahina-16
Ages with host
Ahina is twins with Jax. She has a southern accent and a sailors mouth. Ahina is OCD and it drives me crazy, she is always telling me to put the tv volume on an even number or make sure my drink has three ice cubes. Her organization does however come in handy keeping our system in order.

Jax-16
Ages with host
Jax is Ahina's twin. Jax doesn't have an accent like his sister. He is an artist and a pretty good one at that. Jax is pretty calm unless we are threatened because as a protector it's his job to protect us. Jax likes cats and tattoos. Jax also loves to wear hats and beanies.

Elyon-17
Doesn't age
Elyon can wink well and he sure does it a lot. Elyon likes to flirt (which can make things awkward for me) and is very charming. Elyon likes to dress nice but prefers boy cloths. He really likes brand name like American Eagle. Elyon also has an....interesting sense of humor.

Scarlet-18
Doesn't age
Scarlet is full of energy and always has a pep in her step. She loves drumming and is pretty good at it for a beginner. She has a bit of a problem with gossiping but she is working on it. My guess would be if she had her own body Scarlet would be in the popular crowd. She is very sweet however, just a little eccentric.

John-24
Doesn't age
John is the oldest and he looks after all of us. John is a protector but tries to avoid conflict at all cost. He is very protective of us and acts like an older brother. John tries his best to steer us all in the right direction and help us make good choices. John is also very good a braiding hair.
